This is real time video work people, I’m on my game today.. This is us processing our “Turn in the Road” Sauvignon Blanc that we picked today!!! 23.7 Brix, 3.35 pH Perfect numbers for a delicious SB.

Headed out to Lodi yesterday to check out our “Vista Luna” Petite Sirah and our “Hunter’s Oak” Grenache.. Fruit look fan freaking tastic, we’ll be picking next week to the day of when we harvest last year (if all things hold that is).. I’m at the winery right now and things are getting busy.

I’m a little quiet in this video, why, I don’t know.. I guess that early in the morning you feel like you still have to be quiet even though no one that would care is around… Fruit is back at the winery, the tank brix came out to 25.8 and our pH was at 3.58.. Numbers are incredibly comparable to our 2010 “Quartz Block” Zin which makes me very happy because the 2010 kicks all kinds of ass.

We ended up only getting 3.6 Tons from the block 🙁 …. While that’s a little sad for the growers it probably benefits us in the quality of the grape in this case, smaller berries = more intense flavors.. FWIW, this evening I stayed in Sutter Creek and enjoyed their Blues and Brews fest, so the next video you see I’ll be slightly hungover.. With that said I recommend anyone to go to Gold Country for that festival, it was like a mini Mardi Gras.

We’re harvesting the Sauvignon Blanc this Friday.. the 30th.. Very excited, I’m going to do some interesting white wine techniques with this lot so we’ll be sure to get that for you.

We harvested on the 25th as you’ll find out soon with a video update but here’s a quick hit from a week ago about our newest vineyard, “Hunter’s Oak.”

Last Wednesday was a good day, I checked out both our Amador vineyards and Lodi locations.. Coming soon I’ll get you some shots from our future Grenache vineyard but for today here’s a quick check up on the “Vista Luna” and our Petite Sirah. [pb_vidembed title=”Vista Luna” caption=”” url=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHFhhTjndTg” type=”yt” w=”480″ h=”385″]

Just released the 2010, check out the 2011 on the vine.

It’s a twofer video on a Friday!!! We’re up at the Quartz Block in Amador County, start following along because things are about to get exciting. [pb_vidembed title=”Up at the Quartz!” caption=”” url=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMNtKW-1Ti4″ type=”yt” w=”480″ h=”385″]

You’re going to want some of this..

We’re very excited to present our 2010 Zinfandel from this bottling as well as the release of our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc.  Both single vineyard, single varietal, and in very limited quantities but unlimited quality (see what I did there). Heading up to Redwood Valley and Lake Counties tomorrow…. The vineyards are really starting to come around and we’re getting an idea of what this vintage is going to look like.  I’m very excited and have got some good ideas to include everyone once we’ve nailed down all of our potential single vineyards sites, both new, and old.  So send me more emails, questions via twitter and we’ll get things moving.

Cheers,

Timothy Keith
